Andy Alston is a professional piano player and teacher who has played on many different successful records (amounting to a global sales of over 6 million) and toured the world including Europe, USA and Australia many times. 

As a session musician he has recorded music in many studios both in Europe and in America. As a member of the band Del Amitri for several decades through the most successful part of the bands career he played on albums and singles which sold many millions internationally. His experience as a performer included playing on headline stages of festivals such as Scotland's T in the Park, Glastonbury, Woodstock 1994, Roskilde 1991, Pink Pop Holland`

Andy plays piano, accordion, guitar, mandolin and other instruments. He continues to work as a professional musician in many fields including recording projects, touring, television soundtracks and high level corporate work

As well as being a professional recording and gigging musician, he has had a varied career as a lecturer in university, colleges and prisons. 

In 2018 he released his first album of piano based material 12 women pt 1  which features collaborations with many other successful musicians and artists

Andy has a wealth of teaching and coaching experience both privately to adults and children and also in schools and colleges throughout central Scotland
